Remo Stars were officially crowned champions of the 2024/25 Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) on Sunday, capping off a sensational season with a commanding 4-1 victory over Ikorodu City at their home ground in Ikenne.
Though they had already secured the title on Matchday 35, this Matchday 37 clash was momentous as it marked their final home game of the season and the official trophy presentation.

In a thrilling South West derby, Remo Stars came from behind to dominate Ikorodu City, ending their rivals’ hopes of continental qualification. The emphatic win boosted their points tally to an impressive 71, just two shy of the second-highest total in NPFL history (Dolphins, 2010/11 with 73 points).
This title marks Remo Stars’ first-ever top-flight league championship and a landmark achievement in Nigerian football.
