GUSAU, May 2025 – Governor Dauda Lawal of Zamfara State has commended Hon. Kabiru Amadu, Chairman of the House of Representatives Committee on Sports, for his ongoing commitment to grassroots empowerment and sustainable development within the Gusau/Tsafe federal constituency.
The commendation came during a high-profile empowerment ceremony held on Sunday at the Zamfara State Government House in Gusau, where Hon. Amadu, popularly known as ‘Mai Palace’, officially handed over 100 vehicles and tractors to constituents, including party officials, community elders, youth leaders, and key stakeholders across the constituency.
This marks another bold step in Amadu’s series of community development initiatives, following the distribution of over 100 motorcycles last month aimed at improving youth mobility and enabling small-scale business operations.
In a statement released by Governor Lawal’s spokesperson, Sulaiman Bala Idris, the governor expressed admiration for the lawmaker’s hands-on approach to constituency service and praised the positive impact of his initiatives on local communities.
“I am deeply impressed by the array of initiatives that Hon. Kabiru Amadu is implementing for the benefit of his constituents. This is commendable and deserves encouragement,” Governor Lawal said.
“While the state government is focused on building and renovating schools, hospitals, and roads, initiatives like these help amplify our impact, especially in areas of social welfare.”
Governor Lawal stressed the importance of synergy between the efforts of the state government and federal lawmakers to effectively deliver the dividends of democracy. He noted that Hon. Amadu’s outreach aligns perfectly with the broader development framework of Zamfara State.
Highlighting his administration’s achievements over the past two years, Governor Lawal referenced strides made in security, education, healthcare, urban renewal, and civil service welfare, reaffirming his dedication to inclusive governance under his “rescue mission” agenda.

“I am spending hundreds of millions of naira on covering tuition and school fees for students and offering scholarships. Beyond that, we are supporting farmers with tractors and essential tools to boost agricultural productivity,” Amadu said.
He added that his initiatives are driven by a desire to foster long-term economic resilience, promote education, and improve the quality of life for constituents, especially the youth and vulnerable groups.
