Jephthah Akpororo surprised many fans at the Legacy Pitch on Friday with outstanding performance for his side ODIC FC when they host Remo Feeders in a Nationwide League One encounter.
Akpororo the captain of the side prove to many that it is not all about stand up comedy but he has a strong background in the round leather game and he crowned his excellent performance by scoring the only goal for his side in a game which ends 1 – 4 in favour of Remo Feeders.
Edet Daniel’s double brace ensured Remo Stars Feeders defeat Odic FC 1-4 in Match Day 6 of the Nationwide League One B2 at the Legacy Pitch in Lagos.
Both sides started brilliantly with wonderful display of passes but The Sky Blue Stars Feeders were quick to understand the style of play of the host by ensuring immediate free flow of football.
The Sky Blue Stars had the first attempt through Edet Daniel but Odic’s Wisdom cleared to locate Akpororo who tries his luck but Hassan Ismail saves brilliantly.
Edet Daniel slotted in for the Sky Blue Stars Feeders after Sunday Zachariah located him with a wonderful pass and he calmly score to give the visitors the lead. He doubled the lead eight minutes after his first goal, he brilliantly rounded off Akin Olorunda after he received a cool pass.
Popular Comedian, Akpororo pulled one back for the host, Odic FC just when the referee adjourned Sodiq to have fouled him inside the box and he scored from the spot.
Few minutes to the end of the first half, Edet Daniel got his hat trick for the visitors to extend the lead by 2 goals yet again.
The other half started with numerous attempts by both sides but their defenders assisted the goalkeepers in doing great jobs. The game seemed to have ended with the 2 goal margin through the closing minutes of the game but Edet Daniel made us understand the game was still on with a wonderful strike that gave him his 4th goal of the season.
Remo Stars FC Feeders still maintain the second on the log with 11points and Isoko United worked Destiny Boys FC over in Group B2 of the Nationwide League One.
