The Community Kids League season 2 is set to feature about 250 kids from
different hoods in Lagos state and beyond. At the annual screening held today at the National Stadium, Surulere Lagos,
a large number of talented kids are ready to shine in the season 2 of the
U13 Community Kids League.
Reacting on the measures to unleash the talents in Nigeria football, the
League Coordinator, Ajibola Babatunde emphasized on the needs to adequately
meet up with required methods for international standards as it concerns
Youth football.
In a statement made by the Head of Scout, Michael Yankees: “Dream Stars
Sports Development Club is determined to continuously develop grassroot
football”. Community Kids League is an annual football first aimed at discovering and
nurturing talents across communities in Nigeria.
Dream Stars Sports will Complement Lagos State FA efforts on Youths Sports
Development and also taking sports development to a new height with the Community Kids
League season 2.
Speaking to the media ahead of this years events, the Chairman of the club,
Mr AbdulRahmon Abolore noted that: “we have – over the years – studied
football development in Lagos state and efforts of all concerned
stakeholders especially the State FA and we are working round the clock to
complement on the structures of youth football development”.
“It is a new dawn in youth sports development and doing it for the second
time in a row shows we mean business and we hope to set the record straight
for kids and youth development in Lagos state” Abolore said
