SGFC Eagles, Maryland popularly known as Super Green Football Club in the United States has joined the Northeast-based Conference expansion of American Soccer League for the 2017 season , the league announced by Adam Manning, VP League Operations. “It’s simply a dream come true for SGFC Management, according to Paul Akinrimisi and Coach Richard Opanuga SGFC Boss. We are one of the teams coming out of Washington area to continously send players to europe for tryouts and invitational games by top tier teams to further player development simply because the opportunity dont exist,”
The SGFC has won all the titles in amateur leagues & Tournaments in the northeast of America before being drafted by the American Soccer league.
SGFC Eagles president Richard Opanuga said. “Now, players will have that opportunity through our affiliation as a pro team to pursue their dream and we will challenge ourselves to ensure we are developing these players. My first goal is always players development so to enable their careers take them to levels they had dreamed before.
In a press statement with The managing Director of Vomoz Communications & Media Outfit, Mr Alex Ayankoya stated in an interview that his corporate will sign partnership in ensuring reality show for SGFC Eagles during the ASL inaugural season.
The media policy director, Rotimi Omope remarked Vomoz for their support throughout the 2016 season as a proud sponsor for SGFC Eagles.
Speaking to the media, The Director of Coaching staff, Mr. Richard Opanuga said, the SGFC Eagles is committed to excellence after forging ahead to make history and by its difference in youth development through the American Soccer League – ASL affiliation.
“This vision align with our core values and we are committed to pursue this dream as we forge ahead and storm the professional soccer landscape in America”.
As an Inaugural team to achieve this Professional status, we seek more mentoring from big clubs and open to partnering with professional side from both Africa, Europe and in Asia.
The American Soccer League (ASL) is a developmental league that provides American soccer players with professional playing opportunities as well as a direct pathway into the major soccer leagues around the world.
The league commence in March 2017 for the spring season.
