Obinna Eleje Targets Double Figure With Katsina United

Obinna Eleje, who rescued Katsina United from a home defeat at the weekend against Akwa United, has said he hopes to score 20 goals for ‘The Changi Boys’ this season.

On Sunday, the former Enyimba, Nasarawa and Warri Wolves striker hope to continue his scoring form when Katsina United travels to Confluence Stadium, Lokoja to battle Niger Tornadoes and get the needed 3 points or at least a draw.
“I’m so relaxed and as such I want to finish among the top 4 scorers in the league,” he declared. “I have set a personal target of 20 goals this season.”
The big centre-forward is 25 years old and wears the No 25 shirt for Katsina United, He enjoyed a brief stint at FC Wallen in the second division in Switzerland between 2010 and 2011, and he believes that experience has stood him in good stead till today.
“I learnt a lot while I was there and I am still making use of what I learnt then,” he revealed.
One of the most experienced strikers in the Katsina United squad. He has featured for some of Nigeria’s top clubs – Enyimba, Nasarawa United and Warri Wolves. He also played briefly in Switzerland for FC Wallen between 2010 and 2011. Has a good size and he is good in the air.
