Abuja Ready To Stage 2016 Glo – Caf Awards Ceremony

Excitement is gradually building up in Abuja, Nigeria’s federal capital territory, as the city prepares to host the 2016 Glo-CAF Awards.
The Confederation of African Football had announced that the Silver Jubilee edition will be held on Thursday, January 5, 2017 at the International Conference Centre in Abuja.
As a follow up, sponsor and organiser of the event, Globacom, has assured that the company,  in conjunction with Caf, will stage a memorable awards gala.

Borussia Dortmund and Gabon striker Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang is the reigning African Player of the Year with Mbwana Ally Samatta taking home the gong for the African Player of the Year Based in Africa.

Arsenal duo Alex Iwobi and Asisat Oshoala have both been nominated for the 2016 Glo-Caf awards.
The Confederation of African Football released the nominees for the other categories for the 2016 awards with Nigeria in contention for six awards.

The Glo- Caf awards Gala nite will take place on Thursday, 5 January 2017 in Abuja, Nigeria.

Abuja will be hosting the awards for the third time and second consecutive year after hosting the inaugural edition in 2005 and its 2015 edition held last year in January.
